【教学内容】
苏教版义务教育课程标准实验教科书四年级上册Unit3 How many?第一课时(Story time)
【教材分析】
本单元主要学习如何用英语进行数量的询问和表达。教学重点是会用句型What do you have? How many...do you have 询问及用 I have回答,学会单词thirteen, fifteen, can等。本节课是本单元的重点,讲的是Yang Ling和Liu Tao来到Mike的家里做客,一起谈论玩具汽车和贴纸。教师可以采用Competition等游戏的方式,让学生在愉悦轻松的氛围中掌握所学知识,正确理解运用所学词组句型,进一步提高学生的听、说、读、写综合素质能力。
【教学目标】
1.知识技能目标:(1)能听懂、会说、会读、会写单词:thirteen, can, fifteen, sure, eighteen, many, do。(2)能听懂、会说、会读、会写句型:What do you have? I have... How many...do you have? I have...
2.能力目标:能正确理解运用所学词组句型。
3.情感态度目标:培养学生乐于分享的良好品德。
【教学重点】
(1)句型:How many... you have? 及其回答I have...以及What do you have?
(2)词汇:thirteen, can, fifteen, sure, eighteen, many, do.

【设计理念】
本课教学目标是让学生学会询问或表达自己的喜好。我紧扣“兴趣爱好”这一线索,用本单元的歌曲引出课题Hobbies并教之。通过Do a survey充分挖掘和利用课堂资源,阅读前新词的提前铺垫,能帮助学生理解课文,阅读中,听录音回答问题,看动画找人物,跟读模仿,自读练习,阅读后,朗读表演,以及最后安排的Add-activities.练习,在检测了学生对本文的理解与掌握程度的同时又提高了学生实际运用语言的能力。
【教学过程】
Step 1 Warm-up/Revision
1.Listen and do.
Show me 1 and 2. Show me 3 and 4.
Show me 5 and 6. Show me 7 and 8.
Show me 9 and 10.
2.Guess(复习数字1-10)
教师举起右手做出各种表示数字的手势,让学生看好后,教师立即把手放到身后,让学生说出来。(速度由慢到快)也可小组竞赛,看哪组正确率高,在黑板上记分。
3.Free talk(抛绣球)
目的:练习使用"What do you like?" "I like…"以及一些学过的句型(Do you like/have…?)。
道具:沙包
方法:(1)学生坐在座位上,或者站成一队,老师站在学生前面,背向学生抛球,球离手后转身面对学生。
(2)谁接到球就
(3)此方法可扩展到其他需要两个人进行对话练习的语言点。 (设计意图:改变以往的Free talk比较枯燥的模式,通过这个游戏让学生争着说英语,爱上说英语,减轻学生学习英语的思想负担,在游戏中进行对话练习,激起学生的学习兴趣。)
例如:T:I have a book. Do you have a book?
S:Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
T: What do you have? S: I have…
Step 2 Presentation
1. Today I’m your teacher. I take some presents for you. Guess, what do I have? You can use“ Do you have a…? or Do you have any …?”
(设计意图:打破一般让老师问,学生答的固定模式,多让学生输出,展现自我,既复习了上单元的句型,又为下面的学习做好铺垫。)
S1: Do you have a book…?
T: No, I don’t.
S2: Do you have a pencil…?
T: No, I don’t.
S3: Do you like …?
T: Yes, I do.
T: OK, but I’m sorry. I don’t have …. I have something else(有其他东西). Do you want to know? You can use “What do you have ?” to ask.
出示此句型并教读2遍。
2. S3: What do you have?
T: I have some stickers. (拿出贴纸)
教读sticker, stickers
3. T: Boys and girls, guess how many stickers do I have.
讲how many 引出课题
T: So today we are going to learn a new lesson: Unit3 How many?
T: Let’s see how many stickers do I have. One, two,three......twelve(边拿边数,放在左手). I have 12 stickers here in my left hand, and one more in my right hand, so how many stickers do I have now?
学生可以用中文回答,此时教单词thirteen,以同样方法教fifteen. (告知他们若表现好,糖果就是奖励)
出示13-19,与3-9进行比较,让学生自己总结,几变成十几的一般情况下,是后面加个teen组合。
4.Play a game(快速反应)
(1)教师出示扑 克牌,让学生说数字。
红心 hearts 黑桃 spades
方块 diamonds 草花 clubs
(2)让学生抽出数字,并且读出来。
T: How many… do you have? 板书
How many+可数名词的复数形式
重点教读此句型。这个句型学生在二年级的时候已经学过了,在这节课中重点教授句子的使用方法。
(3)教师把两位学生抽出来的扑 克牌放在一块做加法:…and…is…
5. T: Mike also has many toy cars.
引入课文,故事,引入新知
(1) T:Today Yang Ling and Liu Tao are in Mike’s home. What do Mike and Helen have?
(设计意图:听故事,并回答问题。)
Mike a. toy cars b. stickers c. toys
Helen a. toy cars b. stickers c. toys
S: Mike likes toy cars.
T: Why?
S: He has many toy cars
T: What about Helen?
S: She has stickers.
T: Why?
S: She has many stickers.
T: How many toy cars does Mike have? How many stickers does Helen have?
Now read the text and tell me your answers.
Mike has toy cars. a.13 b.
Helen has stickers. a. 13 b
T: Do they like their toys?
S: Yes, they do.
T: Right. And they are beautiful.
(设计思路:由于学生在回答中会涉及很多第三人称单数,因此教师可以通过选择或判断,帮助学生表达他们对短文大意的理解,而不必苛求他们学会正确的表达。)
6. Read and Fill in the blanks
(设计思路:教师号召学生以小组为单位进行对话的朗读与表演,并最终完成与短文相关的填空,巩固对短文中词句的写的要求。)
Read Story time
(1)注意语音语调,播放录音,学生跟读
T:Let’s read after the tape.
(2)学生齐读
T:Let’s read it together.
(3)学生自读
选择自己喜欢的方式读书:
自己读,和伙伴分角色朗读,齐读
(4)角色扮演(Role play)
模仿语音语调,比比谁读的好,角色扮演。
Step 3 Practice
1. 看图完成句子
(设计思路:学生根据图片所提供的内容,进行句子的填空,着重练习单复数,以及some与any的使用。)

2.两人一组用实物或图片进行对话:How many … can you see? I can see…
3.教师出示Let’s practice 部分的投影,引导学生去数小兔和小猫的数量,并进行问答练习:How many cats can you see? How many rabbits can you see? I can see…
4. 小组任选how many. jpg 图片中的一幅进行问答练习.
5.扩展性活动(Add-activities)
让学生观察教室里的东西,并让学生运用本课所学的语言进行对话练习,如:How many windows can you see? How many chairs can you see?
Step 4 Consolidation
1. Fun time----Do a survey
A:What do you have?
B: I have some stickers.
A: How many stickers do you have?
B:I have eighteen stickers.
(设计意图:利用调查的形式巩固所学内容,不但形式有趣,深受学生的喜爱,而且也不只流于形式,真正起到了巩固的作用。)
2. Summary
让学生说说这节课学了什么,让学生自己来总结。
(1)复习单词(数字类的单词)
知道十几的数字表达规律。
(2)复习句型
What do you have?
How many … do you have?
Can I have a look?
Can I have one?
(3) 复习课文
(设计意图:及时总结所学知识,将所学知识放入具体情境中让学生辨别,帮助他们正确使用日常用语。)
Step 5 Assign homework
1.找出新单词 thirteen, fourteen,fifteen之间的联系
2.复习所学新单词(thirteen, fourteen,fifteen,
sticker、can),句型(How many ... do you have?;
Can I ... ? Sure./Yes./OK.)
3.熟读Story time 的课文
(设计意图:适量而及时的练习能让学生的学习达到事半功倍的效果;此外,语音语调的培养也是小学英语教学的重点之一,因此,要鼓励学生多听、多读、多练。)
